What is Occupational Therapy ?
Paediatric Occupational Therapists work with children and young people to maximise
their potential in specific areas and to increase independence at home, school and
leisure activities.
Partnership with parents / carers, school and other professionals is crucial to achieving
greater independence for the positive benefit of the individual and those involved
in their care.

- Paediatric Interest Profiles gather information on present and future interests.

- Occupational Self Assessment and Child Occupational Self Assessment. Identify an
individual’s competence for doing everyday occupations (activities). The assessment
enables the individual to indicate personal values and to set priorities for change
by assessing the importance of those everyday occupations.
